EDUCATION
Edmonton is the educational centre of Alberta. It is the seat of the Provincial University and has an excellent organiz¬ ation of primary and secondary schools. The University was founded in 1906 and opened for teaching in 1908. It has grown to be one of the outstanding institutions of learning in Canada, with a staff of over 100 professors and an attendance of 1,500 students. Degrees are granted in arts, science, agriculture, engineering, medicine, pharmacy, law, and commerce.
